It is a plugin (not a theme).
This is important because most add-ons that change the look & feel of the WordPress admin panel are themes, and do not allow you to have one look on the front-end and another on the back-end, they are an «all or nothing».
With Minimal Admin, you can still use your favourite theme to make your website and at the same time have a nice admin panel to offer to your customers and yourself.

I can’t blame you, the internet is full of false promises and smoke and mirrors, so I’m going to answer your questions before you even think about them and show you exactly what you’ll find when you install the plugin.
Why is the plugin free?
This is the first version of the plugin, and it actually has the basics to make the admin panel nicer.
I need to test it and make sure it works perfectly on as many sites as possible, and I want you to be my betatester. Also, if you find any bugs or have any requests for the next versions I’ll be happy to hear from you in this form.
And of course once developed I will try to get you to buy the paid version which will have a lot of improvements that I have in mind, and that I know you will love.
*Since WP is officially changing the look and feel of its control panel, it is not worth developing this plugin further. But if it’s popular enough ….., why not?
